Storms expected to bring more flooding to much of Arkansas

Ann Kenda, Arkansas Public Media

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Just days after severe storms brought tornadoes and heavy rain to Arkansas, another round of storms is expected to bring more precipitation.

The National Weather Service says rain is expected to begin Tuesday night and continue through Thursday.

A flood watch has been issued for Tuesday night through Thursday morning for all but northwestern and far northern counties in the state.

The system comes after storms on Saturday produced heavy rain and two tornadoes, including one that resulted in a fatality in northeast Arkansas.
