Roadwork announced across the KASU listening area

The following are releases from the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department about roadwork in the region.

The Arkansas State Highway Commission has approved a bid for improvements to a roadway in Craighead County, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

The purpose of this project is to resurface 1 mile of State Highway 49 between Old Bridger Road and Paragould Drive, in Jonesboro.

Atlas Asphalt, INC. of Batesville was awarded the contract at 278,778.68. 

Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting. Completion is expected in mid-2016.
 

The Arkansas State Highway Commission has approved a bid for improvements to a roadway in Craighead County, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

The purpose of this project is to resurface 2 miles of County Road 21 between State Highway 349 and Jonesboro.

Atlas Asphalt, INC. of Batesville was awarded the contract at 176,865.27.

Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting. Completion is expected in early 2016.
 

The Arkansas State Highway Commission has approved a bid for improvements to a roadway in Lawrence County, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

The purpose of this project is to resurface 3 miles of State Highway 25 between Lake Charles State Park and Powhatan.

Atlas Asphalt, INC. of Batesville was awarded the contract at 337,541.34.

Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting. Completion is expected in mid-2016.

The Arkansas State Highway Commission has approved a bid for improvements to a roadway in Jackson County, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

The purpose of this project is to resurface 1 mile of State Highway 18 between State Highway 17 and State Highway 367 near Newport.

Asphalt Producers, LLC of Jonesboro was awarded the contract at $125,803.92.

Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting. Completion is expected in early 2016.

The Arkansas State Highway Commission has approved a bid for improvements to a roadway in  Mississippi County, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

The purpose of this project is to resurface 3 miles of State Highway 18 from the BNSF Rail Road to where state maintenance ends in Armorel.

Delta Asphalt of Arkansas, INC. of Paragould was awarded the contract at 684,448.66.

Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting. Completion is expected in mid-2016.
 

The Arkansas State Highway Commission has approved a bid for improvements to a roadway in Mississippi County, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

The purpose of this project is to resurface Washington, Adams and Rockefeller avenues in Wilson and Lee and Keiser avenues in Osceola.

Sugg Construction, INC. of Jonesboro was awarded the contract at 394,598.42.

Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting. Completion is expected in mid-2016.
