Delta Flix Film and Media Festival takes place next month

Arkansas State University

The first annual Delta Flix Film and Media Festival takes place in conjunction with this year's Delta Symposium at Arkansas State University.  In this interview, KASU's Johnathan Reaves talks with Dr. Michael Bowman about how this year's festival got started, what can be expected, and the excitement surrounding how the festival will compliment this year's Symposium, to make it a unique event.  Click on the listen button to hear the interview.

KASU is proud to sponsor the showing of two films during this year's Delta Flix Film and Media Festival, The 78 Project and Face in the Crowd.  All of the events are free and are open to the public.   Most events will be held at the Carl R. Reng Student Union on the A-State campus.  Click here for a complete list of this year's Delta Symposium rundown.

Johnathan Reaves is the News Director for KASU Public Radio. As part of an Air Force Family, he moved to Arkansas from Minot, North Dakota in 1986. While working on his undergraduate degree, he worked at KOSE, a small 1,000 watt AM commercial station in Osceola, Arkansas. Upon graduation from Arkansas State University in 1996 with a degree in Radio-Television Broadcast News, he decided that he wanted to stay in radio news. He moved to Stuttgart, Arkansas and worked for East Arkansas Broadcasters as news director and was there for 16 years.
