City of Jonesboro launches new interactive website

The City of Jonesboro has launched a new website that is designed to be more interactive.  Jonesboro Mayor Harold Perrin tells the Sun the new site is expected to “enhance community engagement and communication”.  The redesigned site is at www.jonesboro.org, and provides information on a wide range of services the site provides.  It also allows citizens to reserve facilities for special events, report unsightly conditions and problems, and will tell citizens about upcoming meetings.   Information on pending action, as well as past decisions, is also available on the website.  One feature on the site is the “Join the Discussion” feature, where city officials may propose solutions of various problems in Jonesboro, and citizens can provide their input.  Perrin expects citizens to like the interactivity the new site will provide.
