Arkansas State will host Missouri in 2015 football season

Next football season, Arkansas State University will kick off their home stand by hosting the University of Missouri in Jonesboro.  After contemplating undisclosed offers to move the game to St. Louis, Arkansas State University Athletic Director Terry Mohajir made the announcement during a press conference yesterday at Centennial Bank Stadium.

“As a result of the $5 million dollar donation by the Allison family, a commitment of the whole corporate community to sell out our suites and other financial variables, I made a recommendation to our chancellor (Dr. Tim Hudson) that this facility would be ready for a home opener against the University of Missouri in the ’15 season,” stated Mohajir.  The announcement brought applause by those who attended the press conference yesterday.

The game will be played September 12, 2015 in Jonesboro and is part of a “home and home” series. Missouri won the last meeting against Arkansas State University in 2013 by a score of 41-19.
