11 in Northeast Arkansas Appointed by Gov. Hutchinson

Governor Asa Hutchinson has announced 57 more appointments to various state commissions.  Included in Monday’s announcement are 11 from the KASU listening area. 

From Jonesboro, Arkansas State University Professor of History Dr. Cherisse Jones-Branch is replacing James Lawson on the Black History Commission. 

Also from Jonesboro, Kimberly Whitman replaces Jill Fussell on the Arkansas Early Childhood Commission and Jenifer Mason has been reappointed to the Arkansas State Independent Living Council. 

Stephen Rose of Blytheville replaces Jennifer Ronnel on the Arkansas Development Finance Authority Board of Directors.  Also from Blytheville Shrley Pulliam joins Whitman on the Arkansas Early Childhood Commission. 

Dee Collins of Trumann replaces Debra Walden on the Breast Cancer Control Advisory Board.  Replacing Adam Davis on the Electronic Recording Commission is Misty Richardson from Harrisburg. 

Kathy Pillow-Price from Beebe joins Whitman and Pulliam on the Early Childhood Commission--replacing Kelley Smith.  Normal Gilchrest of Brinkley was reappointed to the Burial Association Board. 

Mahdee Raieesdana of Mount Pleasant rejoins Mason on the state Independent Living Council.  Justice Robert Hudgins of Searcy is replacing Justice Courtney Goodson as a Special Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of Arkansas on the Richard H. Ashley v.Todd H. Ashley case.

Garland “Gary” Dowdy, to the Board of Visitors for the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences, and the Arts.  Appointment expires January 14, 2023.  Replaces Donna Casparian.
