Jonesboro, AR – Blues Fest 2011 gets underway this Sunday afternoon at Craighead Forest Park in Jonesboro. The free music festival is held each year at the bandshell on Access Road 6. Craighead Lake provides the backdrop, as a variety of local and regional musicians perform beginning at 1 p.m. this Sunday, and for the following two Sundays in September. "Harry Larry" Heyl, Jonesboro bluesman and host of "Something Blue" on KASU stopped by Morning Edition to talk about Blues Fest....

Jonesboro, AR – Dustin Smith of Pocahontas bicycled from coast to coast across America over the summer, helping build affordable housing along the way. He was one of over 200 cyclists participating in a program called Bike & Build. KASU talked with him when he was training for his trip. Now he's back to tell us how it went....

Ed's interest in history has led him to seek out legends and lore in the area he calls home. He has turned those stories into a successful Ghost Tour in downtown Jonesboro. That venture led to the writing of a book - "Haunted Jonesboro." And now he and his troupe are performing the Ghost Hours Show in various locations. The book is now available in area bookstores.
