Making A Difference-Ozark Foothills Literacy Project

In this edition of Making a Difference, the Ozark Foothills Literacy Project is helping people learn to read.  Located inside the Jubilee Family Church in Batesville, the Ozark Foothills Literacy Project serves over 50 people in Fulton, Sharp and Independence Counties.  KASU's Johnathan Reaves has more in this report.

Johnny Cash Music Festival Special to be aired on TV

The Johnny Cash Music Festival, a concert filmed at last year’s inaugural event, is scheduled to air on three networks this summer. The one hour special, which stars Rosanne Cash, John Carter Cash, Kris Kristofferson, George Jones, Rodney Crowell and more, is a blend of music and stories about the Man in Black. It will air on RFD TV on July 26th at 7:00 pm ET and again on July 28th at 6:00 pm ET. GAC will air the special on July 28th at 8:00 pm ET and again at midnight. PBS affiliates will also air the program during the summer -- check local listings for all PBS airdates.

Making A Difference-Food Bank

This edition of Making A Difference features the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas.  This is an organization that supplies food to over 100 different agencies and runs several programs to help those who are hungry in the region.  KASU's Johnthan Reaves files this report.
