WEINER, Ark. (AP) — An Arkansas Game and Fish Commission spokesman says authorities are investigating the discovery of tigers, lions and a leopard in a barn in Arkansas.

Spokesman Randy Zellers said that seven tigers, six lions and one leopard were discovered Saturday in Poinsett County in cages.

Zeller said the Poinsett County Sheriff's Department went to the scene after receiving an anonymous tip. The exotic animals were found with their owner and in good health.

Caraway is no longer under a boil order. (5/2/16)

The City of Caraway is under a boil order today. 

KAIT-TV reports the city superintendent placed the city under the order after police reported water spilling onto the street.  Water samples are being sent to the health department lab in Paragould for analysis. 

Results are expected in about 24 hours.

Monday’s town hall meeting on the controversial property maintenance code became heated as opponents expressed concerns over the wording in the ordinance. 

The Jonesboro Sun reports residents were concerned that the language in the ordinance could be abused by future administrations. 

Supporters said any law can be subject to corruption and it is up to the administration to remove the abuser of the law; not the law itself.
