SAGAL: Brains.
BABYLON: Oh, oh, the zombies. The zombies.
SAGAL: Zombies, yes.

BABYLON: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
SAGAL: Zombies.
BABYLON: They're everywhere.
SAGAL: Every era has its icon. The 60s, for example, had that square jawed super spy. And now, in the best representation of our hopes and aspirations, is a shambling brainless monster that wants to eat you.
(SOUNDBITE OF LAUGHTER)
SAGAL: With zombie movies, games, books and TV shows creating so much wealth, the government is doing what it can to help this new class of job creators.
(SOUNDBITE OF LAUGHTER)
SAGAL: The president wants a stimulus program to outfit zombies with their own shotguns so they can fight back.
(SOUNDBITE OF LAUGHTER)
SAGAL: The Republicans, of course, just want to abolish the death tax.
(SOUNDBITE OF LAUGHTER)
BABYLON: That was funny. That would make sense for a zombie. They'd need the money.
SAGAL: I know.
(SOUNDBITE OF LAUGHTER)
BABYLON: But zombies don't really have a food budget do they?
(SOUNDBITE OF LAUGHTER)
TOM BODETT: Not per se.
SAGAL: Right.
BABYLON: But it takes money to go chase people.
ROXANNE ROBERTS: Wait, don't zombies eat brains? Isn't that the delicacy?
SAGAL: Traditionally.
BABYLON: But you don't go down to the Five and Dime and buy a scoop of brain.
(SOUNDBITE OF LAUGHTER)
BABYLON: You just...
BODETT: No, but...
BABYLON: You get that guy.
BODETT: Wandering around a city aimlessly all day long.
BABYLON: That costs money.
BODETT: I mean it's going to pile up.
BABYLON: Bus pass. Yeah.
SAGAL: Yeah.
BODETT: Exactly.
(SOUNDBITE OF LAUGHTER)
BABYLON: They don't buy clothes. Look, have you seen what a zombie wears?
SAGAL: They do dress terribly.
BABYLON: They dress horribly.
SAGAL: I will agree with you with that.
(SOUNDBITE OF LAUGHTER)
SAGAL: Why do we like zombies so much? Why is this a zombie moment?
BABYLON: We want to be them, Peter.
SAGAL: We want to be - so it's really envy?
BABYLON: They have a carefree lifestyle, man.
SAGAL: It's true.
(SOUNDBITE OF LAUGHTER)
BABYLON: It's oh, I don't care about anything. I just want to eat brains. We want to be them.
SAGAL: Yeah.
BABYLON: They don't have a care in the world, just brains and bummy clothes.
