Jonesboro Mayor Harold Perrin names new Grants Administrator

From Fritz Gisler, Director of Communications at the City of Jonesboro.

Mayor Harold Perrin today named Kimberly Marshall of Jonesboro the new Grants Administrator for the City of Jonesboro.

Ms. Marshall comes to the City from the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality, and prior to that, Arkansas State University. While at A-State, Ms. Marshall’s duties included supervising financial operations and ensuring regulatory compliance, developing budgets, and creating strategic plans for grant application and budgeting.

In addition to her general duties, she monitored all the university, restricted, and foundation funds totaling $15 million within the College of Sciences and Mathematics. She also monitored approximately 70 grants and accounts with nearly $7 million in funds while serving in the Biological Sciences Department.

“We are looking forward to having Kimberly with us here at the City,” said Mayor Perrin. “She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the grant administrator position. I am confident she will play a pivotal role in moving Jonesboro forward.”

Ms. Marshall holds a B.S. in Accounting, a Master of Public Administration degree from Arkansas State University, and has been named to the National Honor Society for Public Affairs and Administration. She will assume her new position on August 24, 2015.
