Randolph County is not the only county in the KASU listening area with a group working to allow alcohol sales.
KAIT-TV reports “Keep Our Dollars in Independence County” sent out canvassers Wednesday to gather signatures for adding the measure on their November ballot. The group needs 78-hundred signatures to get the issue on the ballot.
The measure was last voted on over 70 years ago. In 2013, the group held off on working to get the measure on the ballot after the issue was brought up statewide.
