Groundbreaking of Miracle League Field in Jonesboro

Groundbreaking ceremonies of the Miracle League Field in Jonesboro took place yesterday morning.  The field will be the largest in the United States, and will allow for children and adults with disabilities to play numerous sports on the field.  Different events can be held on the field at the same time.  The $2.3 million project could open to play this fall, with tournaments expected to be held in Jonesboro next spring.  KASU's Johnathan Reaves was at the groundbreaking and filed this report.

Johnathan Reaves is the News Director for KASU Public Radio. As part of an Air Force Family, he moved to Arkansas from Minot, North Dakota in 1986.
