Feller and Hill & the Bluegrass Buckaroos coming to KASU's Bluegrass Monday

KASU will present a special Bluegrass Monday concert this Monday night.  Feller and Hill & the Bluegrass Buckaroos is one of the top new bluegrass bands in the country.  Their song “The Government Blues” is currently #2 on the Bluegrass Today radio airplay chart.  The band features outstanding vocal harmonies, a big influence from classic country music, and incredible bluegrass pickin’.  Feller and Hill & the Bluegrass Buckaroos will perform Monday night, May 12, at 7:00 at the Collins Theatre, 120 West Emerson Street in Paragould.  Doors open at 6:00, seating is first-come, first-served.  A $5 donation is requested to pay the performers.  KASU’s Marty Scarbrough spoke with Tom Feller regarding his musical background and regarding the unique style of bluegrass presented by his band.

Johnathan Reaves is the News Director for KASU Public Radio. As part of an Air Force Family, he moved to Arkansas from Minot, North Dakota in 1986. He was first bitten by the radio bug after he graduated from Gosnell High School in 1992. While working on his undergraduate degree, he worked at KOSE, a small 1,000 watt AM commercial station in Osceola, Arkansas. Upon graduation from Arkansas State University in 1996 with a degree in Radio-Television Broadcast News, he decided that he wanted to stay in radio news. He moved to Stuttgart, Arkansas and worked for East Arkansas Broadcasters as news director and was there for 16 years.
