Craighead County Quorum Court Declares Vacancy for District 1

Wikipedia.org

A vacancy on the Craighead County Quorum Court has been declared.

Monday night, the Quorum Court officially declared District 1 on the court as vacant.  This position had been held by Ken Stacks.  Stacks announced his resignation from the court last month after missing many months of meetings due to an extended illness.

Stacks wrote a resignation letter which was read by Craighead County Judge Ed Hill last month.  The public can apply to fill the remainder of the term on the Quorum Court until the end of the year.

Applications can be made online.  Governor Asa Hutchinson will appoint someone to serve the rest of the term. Brad Noel is the only one who filed to run for the seat that Stacks held.  Noel will fill the seat January first.
