Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson is urging the state Legislature to support his plans including a $50 million dollar tax cut for more than 600,000 low income residents.
Hutchinson delivered the State of the State address to a joint session of the state House and Senate. He delivered the address on the second day of the 91st General Assembly.
Hutchinson also touched on a new grant program to boost high school participation in high demand fields of study and the creation of a task force to make changes to the tax code. This is a special KASU.org digital broadcast of his State of the State address in its entirety.

- Creating a Blue Ribbon Task Force to address fixing the tax code.
- Developing the ArFuture Grants program to encourage high school student to enter into high-demand fields of study at a technical college.

- A $13 million tax break for millitary veterans.
