Officials from the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management are in Jonesboro assessing flood damaged areas in the city. They are determining whether Governor Asa Hutchinson should declare the area a state disaster. Hutchinson visited with Jonesboro Mayor Harold Perrin last week for a tour of the areas damaged by the May 24th flood. City and Craighead County emergency officials are still asking for affected residents to submit photos and estimates of damages sustained from the flood.
