4 Locals Appointed by Arkansas Governor

Governor Asa Hutchinson has appointed 4 residents in our listening area to various positions.

Hutchinson announced 28 appointments Friday in a press release.  Among them were Claude Graves of Bono, Linda Prunty of Jonesboro, Samuel Jackson of Blytheville, and Joe Morgan of Beebe.

Graves replaced Max Tackett on the Arkansas Rural Development Commission.  Prunty was appointed to the Arkansas Real Estate Commission, replacing Sherman Tate.

Jackson replaced Dr. Walter Jines on the Arkansas Department of Aeronautics Commission.  Morgan was reappointed to the State Apprenticeship Coordination Steering Committee.

Claude Graves, Bono, to the Arkansas Rural Development Commission.  Appointment expires December 31, 2020.  Replaces Max Tackett.

Lynn Hawkins, Lexa, to the Arkansas Rural Development Commission.  Appointment expires December 31, 2020.  Reappointment.

Tony Moore, Russellville, to the Arkansas Real Estate Commission.  Appointment expires December 31, 2018.  Replaces Allen Trammell.

Linda Prunty, Jonesboro, to the Arkansas Real Estate Commission.  Appointment expires December 31, 2018.  Replaces Sherman Tate.

Dr. Susan Weinstein, Little Rock, to the State Board of Health.  Appointment expires December 31, 2019.  Replaces Dr. Larry Fritchman.

Dr. Terry Yamauchi, Little Rock, to the State Board of Health.  Appointment expires December 31, 2019.  Reappointment.

Dr. Lee Johnson, Greenwood, to the State Board of Health.  Appointment expires December 31, 2016.  Replaces Dr. Marvin Leibovich.

James “Jim” Lambert, Conway, to the State Board of Health.  Appointment expires December 31, 2019.  Reappointment.

Samuel Jackson, Blytheville, to the Arkansas Department of Aeronautics Commission. Appointment expires September 9, 2020.  Replaces Dr. Walter Jines.

Clayton Edwards, Searcy, to the Arkansas Professional Bail Bondsman Licensing Board.  Appointment expires September 30, 2022.  Replaces Ronnie Baldwin.

Raymond Nabholz, Conway, to the Contractors Licensing Board.  Appointment expires December 31, 2020.  Reappointment.

Mayor Michael Watson, Maumelle, to the State Aid Street Committee.  Appointment expires December 31, 2019.  Replaces Mayor Tab Townsell.

Sandra Jackson, Fayetteville, to the State Board of Collection Agencies.  Appointment expires January 1, 2019.  Reappointment.

Neil While, Fort Smith, to the Arkansas Public Transportation Coordination Council.  Appointment expires September 20, 2019.  Replaces Tommy Branch.

Gail “Lynn” Franquemont, Little Rock, to the Arkansas Deaf and Hearing Impaired Telecommunications Services Corporation Board of Directors.  Appointment expires June 1, 2018.  Reappointment.

Andrew “Greg” Aleshire, Mena, to the State Apprenticeship Coordination Steering Committee.  Appointment expires December 1, 2018.  Reappointment.

Karen Breashears, Arkadelphia, to the State Apprenticeship Coordination Steering Committee.  Appointment expires December 1, 2018.  Reappointment.

Jimmy Coker, Redfield, to the State Apprenticeship Coordination Steering Committee.  Appointment expires December 1, 2018.  Reappointment.

Kathy Fulks, Perryville, to the State Apprenticeship Coordination Steering Committee.  Appointment expires December 1, 2018.  Reappointment.

William “Don” Havens, Conway, to the State Apprenticeship Coordination Steering Committee.  Appointment expires December 1, 2018.  Reappointment.

James “Steve” Roofener, Conway, to the State Apprenticeship Coordination Steering Committee.  Appointment expires December 1, 2018.  Reappointment.

James “Jim” Ryan, Oppelo, to the State Apprenticeship Coordination Steering Committee.  Appointment expires December 1, 2018.  Reappointment.

Kelley Sharp, Farmington, to the State Apprenticeship Coordination Steering Committee.  Appointment expires December 1, 2018.  Reappointment.

Stephen Tisdale, Eudora, as District Judge of Chicot County District Court, Dermott Department.  Appointment expires December 31, 2016.  Replaces The Honorable Chuck Gibson.

Robert Jones III, Fayetteville, as a Special Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of Arkansas.  CV-15-480; Calvin Johnson, in his official capacity, and Bd. Of Trustees of the Univ. of Ark. V. Eugene Johnson.  Replaces Justice Courtney Goodson, who has disqualified herself from the case.
