Arkansas State University's Music Department will start classes this Saturday in the formation of a Youth Orchestra. The orchestra is for those in grades six to 12 who have had at least one year of instruction. KASU's Marty Scarbrough talks to new faculty member Guy Harrison, who is a professor of violin and viola at ASU, and talks about the youth orchestra during this Spotlight on the Arts feature.

Johnny Cash Music Festival Special to be aired on TV

The Johnny Cash Music Festival, a concert filmed at last year’s inaugural event, is scheduled to air on three networks this summer. The one hour special, which stars Rosanne Cash, John Carter Cash, Kris Kristofferson, George Jones, Rodney Crowell and more, is a blend of music and stories about the Man in Black. It will air on RFD TV on July 26^th at 7:00 pm ET and again on July 28^th at 6:00 pm ET. GAC will air the special on July 28^th at 8:00 pm ET and again at midnight.
